The Intralase FS-60 Laser is rapidly becoming known as the key ingredient to optimizing visual results in LASIK laser vision correction surgery. The
first step in the LASIK procedure is to create a flap of tissue on
the cornea of the eye. This is done using the IntraLase FS-60 Laser.
This highly precise laser-generated flap is then gently folded back
to expose the underlying surface of the cornea, where the laser energy
will be applied.
Once the cornea flap has been positioned, Dr. Holladay then uses a computer-controlled amount of laser energy to remove the desired amount of cornea tissue for your best visual correction. This normally takes a few seconds to complete.
Once the desired amount of laser correction has been applied, the corneal flap is placed back into its original position and allowed to heal. No sutures are required to hold the corneal flap in place.
Dr.
Holladay performs these procedures with the use of topical anesthesia.
Injections of anesthesia are not necessary. This encourages a shorter
recover period for our patients.
The LASIK procedure takes just seconds to complete, and your total time at our facility is usually less than one hour. Many of our LASIK patients return to work the following day.
